Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Transplant Surgery, is seeking full-time faculty members at any rank. These positions are oriented toward multi-organ practice with primary focus on liver transplantation.

Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate or equivalent.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery or foreign equivalent.
• ASTS fellowship or equivalent preferred.
• At least five years of faculty-level practice as Assistant/Associate Professor.
• Experience in living and deceased donor liver transplantation, organ perfusion, and related procedures preferred.
