Job summary

Miami University is seeking a Sports Video Productions Crew Member to support live video broadcasts of university athletics events. This on-campus, part-time intermittent position involves working in several broadcast roles during events at Yager Stadium West, Oxford, OH.

The position includes camera operation, switcher control, instant replay, graphics, and audio duties, with opportunities to rotate through roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of sports.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous broadcast/production experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a broadcast camera to capture live game action and shot sequences during Miami University Athletics events.
• Operate the NewTek TriCaster production switcher to support live video/television production.
• Operate the 3Play Instant Replay system to capture, cue, and roll instant replays during live broadcasts.
• Operate Ross Xpression graphics software to build and trigger on-screen graphics, including scoreboards, lower-thirds, and stat overlays.
• Mix and monitor live audio feeds during broadcasts.
• Assist production staff as needed in the role of Production Assistant, including setup, breakdown, and general production support.
• Rotate through the above positions as assigned based on event needs and staffing.
