Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring for Live Receiving at our Cold Spring, MN facility. The role covers live hang, forklift duties, and loading/unloading drawers of birds while meeting Animal Welfare standards. Night shift: 7:45pm–4:45am.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; poultry or manufacturing experience is a plus; forklift experience preferred. You’ll need strong multitasking, teamwork, attention to detail, and good communication in a hot, dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Live hang and back-up the finishing machine to meet Animal Welfare standards.
• Forklift driver duties and loading/unloading drawers of birds.
• Safely load and unload drawers off shuttle trucks; keep work area clean.
• Report any equipment damage or potential problems to supervisor immediately.
• Other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Live hang
• Back-up the finishing machine to ensure all birds meet Animal Welfare standards
• Forklift driver
• Loading and unloading drawers
• Safely and efficiently load and unload drawers of birds off the shuttle trucks
• Keep work area clean and picked up at all times
• Reports any equipment damage or potential mechanical problems to the supervisor or lead person immediately
• Other duties as required

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry, live animal or manufacturing experience is a plus. Fork lift experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player.
• Physical requirements: Ability to work in a dusty, hot environment
