Job summary

Tip Top Poultry Inc. is seeking a Live Hang Team Member to ensure safe and humane handling of live birds and proper placement onto the processing line, in accordance with USDA regulations and food safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced production environment, monitor bird condition, follow animal welfare policies and PPE requirements, and contribute to quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and plant operations
• Knowledge of humane handling procedures and animal welfare standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Safely and humanely handle live birds and place them onto the processing line.
• Maintain required production rates while ensuring proper bird placement.
• Follow all company animal welfare policies and humane handling procedures.
• Comply with USDA, OSHA, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Identify and report any animal welfare, quality, equipment, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and biosecurity requirements.
