Live Operations - Pellet Mill Operator (2nd-Shift)

Summary

PANEL OPERATOR: Monitors and programs computer terminals, operates equipment to formulate, pelletize, and direct feeds to bins. Responsible for dumping micro components, applying fats, and operating grinding equipment.

UTILITY OPERATOR: Proficient in operating feed mill receiving, panel, pellet mill, dispatch, feed scheduling, and QC tasks.

Hours

Generally Monday-Friday, 2nd shift 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., with 2 breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and weekend work may be scheduled as needed.

Compensation

Base pay of $18/hr, with potential premiums, shift differentials, and overtime. Annual bonus based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), insurance options, disability, flexible spending, and paid time off.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

PANEL OPERATOR: Ensures quality and safety in feed production, performs maintenance, communicates with team, and coordinates with dispatch.

UTILITY OPERATOR: Trained in all feed mill positions, adheres to safety rules, and performs duties across roles.

Minimum Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

PANEL OPERATOR: 2 years experience, with skills in reading, writing, and math.

FEED MILL UTILITY OPERATOR: 2 years experience, mechanical background, basic PC skills, familiar with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience

Basic computer skills and mechanical background are preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, noise. Must be able to lift 100 lbs, stand for long periods, and wear PPE as required.
