Job summary

Milliken and Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer/Leader to oversee maintenance within the plant, ensuring timely service calls and reliable equipment performance. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate schedules and priorities across teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 5–10 years of related experience, with proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of related work experience.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner and maintenance support is available as needed.
• Establish work schedules, shift assignments and work prioritization.
• Track equipment failures, problems, spare parts, maintenance logs to assist in increasing equipment uptime and reliability.
• Ensure documentation of maintenance work and activities performed, including work orders, engineering change requests, drawings, CAD files, procedures, project logs, etc
• Spearhead continuous improvement activities by partnering with production, process engineers, quality, and other departments.
• Control budget for assigned cost centers
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement process, machine, and design improvements to production equipment and procedures
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems

Education : BS in Engineering required or equivalent related work experience

Experience : 5-10 years minimum work experience
