Job summary

FOX 32 Chicago/WFLD is seeking a dynamic Streaming Producer to join our News team, developing engaging live and on-demand content for FOX Chicago and FOX LOCAL across streaming, digital, social, and linear platforms.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in producing or digital journalism, strong writing and storytelling skills, and comfort with fast-paced editorial decisions, multi-platform publishing, and collaboration with reporters, editors, and digital teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in producing, digital journalism, streaming, or related newsroom role
• Experience developing and publishing news content for digital and social platforms
• Strong writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills
• Excellent news judgment and commitment to factual accuracy
• Ability to generate creative ideas and present information in an original way
• Ability to think quickly and make sound editorial decisions in real time
• Familiarity with live-streaming production, digital publishing, and social workflows
• Ability to learn and use newsroom, editing, publishing, and production software systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and collaborate in a fast-paced newsroom

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce engaging live and on-demand streaming content for FOX Chicago and FOX LOCAL.
• Investigate and gather ideas for local Chicago stories that matter to our community.
• Develop conversational streaming concepts, interview questions, and audience-focused formats.
• Guide conversations in real time with solid follow-up questions and angles.
• Source, organize, and prepare video, graphics, user-generated content, and other visuals.
• Manage video editing and content production workflows from concept to publication.
• Write clear, compelling content for digital, streaming, and linear platforms.
• Ensure live streams/newscasts run smoothly with editorial standards.
• Collaborate with reporters, anchors, producers, directors, photographers, editors, and digital teams.
• Monitor audience engagement and use performance insights to improve coverage.
• Publish content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and changing editorial priorities.
