Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking two houseparents to supervise daily living for students at Hershey, PA. The two-person, married-couple role includes mentorship, scheduling, and transportation, with housing and meals provided on duty and comprehensive benefits.

Couples must be at least 27, hold a high school diploma or GED, and commit to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Relocation assistance and paid training are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational activities with students.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes with a nine-on, three-off schedule; later transition to Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students.
