Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking dedicated houseparents for a two-person couple. You will supervise and mentor students, manage household routines, and ensure wellness, including administering medications and driving students to activities.

You will also lead daily devotions and coordinate Sundays Chapel and family schedules. Initially you’ll support various student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, then transition into a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes on a 9-on/3-off schedule; later transition to Placed Houseparent living with the same group.
