Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, leading devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, and driving students to activities. This is a unique, life-changing career with relocation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role: married for at least two years.
• Spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Integrity and professionalism as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent with a consistent group of students.
