Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

Flex Houseparents follow a nine-on, three-off schedule, with unscheduled time while students are in school. They may transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living with the same group of students in their own home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
• Pet limitations: one dog and fish.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Proselytizing prohibited.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Transport students to activities and plan developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
