Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role places each couple in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision and support for a group of 8–13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally and socially.

The position features a nine-on/two-off cycle, driving duties, medication administration, devotions, Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, with a pathway to placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
