Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, mentorship, and supervision for 8–13 students, with a nine-on/three-off cycle and transition to a placed role with a single student home.

Responsibilities include supervising daily life, managing routines, medications, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. Benefits and relocation/training are provided; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
