Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Full-time Flex Houseparent couple to live in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. The role combines mentorship, daily routines, transportation, and program activities, with a nine-on/three-off schedule and eventual placement in a consistent student home.

Both spouses must be married 2+ years, be 27+, hold a valid U.S. driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person, married couple requirement.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: one dog of approved breed; fish allowed.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Proselytizing prohibited during Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
