Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervising 8-13 students and supporting their academic, emotional, and social growth. A nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule leads to a Placed Houseparent role with long-term student home assignments.

Salary is $46,917 per person annually, with comprehensive benefits and relocation/training support. Both spouses must be 27+, married at least two years, and adhere to campus policies

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and able to become certified to drive student home vans.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
