Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting. Position starts with nine-on, three-off days, then transition to placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
