Job summary

FirstLight Home Care of Morristown and Wayne is seeking compassionate Certified Home Health Aides to deliver non-medical, in-home care that honors each client’s dignity and independence.

You will assist with personal care, provide companionship, manage light household tasks, and help clients stay safe and engaged. Training, support, and a collaborative team are offered.

Available full-time and part-time schedules across Morris and Somerset counties with mileage reimbursement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• State-required certifications for CHHA are required.
• Valid Driver’s License with adequate auto insurance, if applicable.
• Demonstrated compassion and a desire to help others.
• Commitment to delivering quality, respectful care and being present with clients.
• Ability to follow directions, both verbal and written, and manage job demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, non-medical care aligned with each client’s care plan.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, feeding and mobility.
• Offer companionship through conversation, light housekeeping, meal planning/prep, and more.
• Provide medication reminders as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisor.
• Use time management tools to clock in/out and document completed tasks.
• Stay updated with changing technology and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in quality reviews and follow company policies.
