Job summary

Wellthy Care Network is helping a private family in Lorton, VA to find an experienced live-in caregiver for an individual with dementia. The caregiver will have a private bedroom and bathroom in a smoke-free home, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM Monday to 7:00 PM Friday.

Start date is as soon as possible. The role requires proven caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with live-in responsibilities.

Job description

A family in Lorton, VA 22079 is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable caregiver for a live-in position providing personalized care and general safety monitoring for an individual with dementia.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (Live-In)
• Care begins Monday at 7:00 AM and ends Friday at 7:00 PM
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Family Specifications:

• Caregiver will have a private bedroom and Bathroom

Responsibilities:

• Provide full assistance with bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing
• Provide standby assistance with ambulation and transfers using a walker
• Supervise and redirect the member as needed for dementia-related memory and safety concerns
• Provide medication reminders and ensure compliance (family pre-fills the weekly medication organizer)
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and errands as needed
• Assist with general safety monitoring and companionship

Requirements:

• Proven professional caregiving experience
• Comfort and ability to handle live-in care responsibilities
• Valid driver's license

Preferred:

• Experience caring for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairment
• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience

Compensation:

• $250– $450 per 24-hour day (commensurate with experience)
