Job summary

IncrediCare in Virginia seeks a compassionate caregiver to assist clients at home, providing mobility support, personal care, and activity facilitation. You will collect health information from caregivers and clinicians, report incidents, and respond promptly in emergencies.

The role requires CPR certification, adherence to CDC safety guidelines, strong communication skills, and reliable transportation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, including CDC guidelines on COVID-19.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner.
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Provide redirection and activity support for sundowning.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with completing physical therapy and other recommended exercise.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients when they shop if needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
