Job summary

ALC Health Care Services seeks a live-in caregiver to support clients in their homes in Batavia, IL. The role involves personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and medication reminders, with five-day live-in coverage from 9:00 AM Monday to 9:00 AM Saturday.

Must be 2 years of caregiver experience with CNA preferred; strong reading/writing, communication, and reliability are essential. Mileage reimbursement and a flexible schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Dependability, tact, patience, and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe client functioning and report changes to supervisor or employer.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide companionship, socialization, and housekeeping services.
• Assist with medication reminders: prompting and handling containers as needed.
• Meal planning and food preparation; assist in keeping home clean and safe.
• Perform household tasks: cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, changing bed linens.
