Job summary

Dovida – Jacksonville is seeking a compassionate, dependable Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized care in the client’s home. You will reside 4 days per week, followed by 3 days off, rotating with a second Dovida caregiver.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, builds meaningful relationships, and provides compassionate care in a home setting. Responsibilities include ADL support, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, mobility assistance, and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Caregiver, CNA, or HHA training or certification is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver's license preferred or required.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• Experience in home care and mobility assistance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide mobility assistance and daily living support.
• Prepare meals and assist with hydration, light housekeeping.

Dovida – Jacksonville is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to a client in their home.

Live-In Schedule & Living Arrangements

As a Live-In Caregiver, you will reside in the client’s home for 4 days per week, followed by 3 days off, rotating with a second Dovida caregiver. This consistent rotation provides the client with dependable, continuous support while allowing caregivers dedicated time off between shifts.

During your scheduled live-in days, you will have access to:

• Private bedroom within the client’s home

• Shared bathroom

• Shared kitchen and common living spaces

• A comfortable environment where you can provide attentive, personalized care
  

About the Role

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients, and understands the importance of providing compassionate, respectful care in a client’s home.

Responsibilities may include assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and other non-medical support based on the client’s individualized care plan.

What You'll Do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene

• Provide mobility assistance and help with daily activities

• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with hydration

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to client care

• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities

• Provide medication reminders as directed

• Follow individualized care plans and report changes in the client's condition

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

• Communicate with the care team and family members as appropriate

Please note: This position provides daytime assistance and an overnight presence. It does not involve continuous, hands-on care throughout the night.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Caregiver, CNA, or HHA training or certification is a plus

• Current CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation are preferred or may be required

• Ability to pass background checks, work authorization verification, and required health screenings

• Ability to assist with mobility and physical care tasks using safe practices

• Previous caregiving experience preferred

• Knowledge of personal care, safe transfers, and basic caregiving practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable, punctual, organized, and compassionate

• Commitment to maintaining client dignity, privacy, and professional boundaries
