Job summary

One You Love Homecare Barrington is seeking a dedicated live-in caregiver to provide essential non-medical assistance in clients' homes, promoting independence and dignity. You will offer companionship, personal care support, and help with daily activities, while maintaining safety and following care plans.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, documentation, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field is a plus.
• State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, proof of insurance (if required for client transport).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
• Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
