Job summary

Caring Connections is seeking LIVE-IN Certified Home Health Aides/ Personal Care Aides to provide in-home care across Rockland and Orange Counties, NY. You will assist clients with daily living activities, mobility, medications, and transportation, while delivering compassionate companionship and high-quality care.

Applicants should have a PCA or HHA certificate, a high school diploma or equivalent, and fluent English skills.

Responsibilities

Caring Connections Home Care is in need of LIVE-IN Certified Home Health Aides/ Personal Care Aides to provide care to clients that reside in Rockland County & Orange County, NY. Are you a dedicated and compassionate caregiver looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are actively seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to join our exceptional team. Requirements

• Provide personalized care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
• Assist with medications as directed and maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Scheduling doctor's appointments if requested by the client
• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid PCA or HHA Certificate.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
• Experience working with patients in hospice care, memory care, or those with developmental disabilities is a plus
• Ability to lift and move patients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must speak English fluently.
• Must have reliable transportation to commute to clients' homes.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
