Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a Transportation Manager – Live Operations to lead our Live Haul transportation team and ensure daily delivery of poultry from farm network to processing facilities.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in transportation or logistics, proven leadership of high-volume operations, and hands-on experience with scheduling, fleets, safety, and compliance. CDL required; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of transportation or logistics experience.
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume transportation environment.
• Strong scheduling, fleet operations, and asset management knowledge.
• Experience with transportation technology including ELDs, TMS, and driver-monitoring systems.
• CDL required and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily Live Haul transportation operations to support production.
• Develop transportation schedules that align with production and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate Live Haul drivers, tractors, trailers, and related assets.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and farm operations to anticipate challenges.
• Monitor safety, compliance, and performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Oversee maintenance coordination and fleet availability with the garage.
