Job summary

Wayne Farms in Tyler, TX seeks a Leader of People to supervise catch operations and coordinate driver schedules to meet daily production goals. You will manage truck shop personnel, supervise weigh masters, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT and USDA guidelines.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in poultry operations. CDL is preferred; a high school diploma with poultry experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years live poultry experience or an associate's degree in Poultry/Agricultural Science.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CDL license encouraged.
• Strong math, leadership and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catch operations and schedule drivers and loads to meet production schedules.
• Act as liaison between Wayne Farms and contracted crews.
• Coordinate and communicate schedules to drivers and contractors.
• Supervise truck drivers, weigh masters and truck shop personnel.
• Compile and submit daily and weekly reports to Accounting.
• Enforce safety programs, DOT and animal welfare guidelines.
• Oversee sanitation and discipline; develop staff and manage performance.
