Job summary

Insomniac is seeking an Entertainment Wig and Hair Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will prepare theatrical wigs and hair, restyle between shows, and collaborate with performers and the lead hair artist to ensure hitting show-ready looks across events.

Applicants should have a diploma in hairstyling or 3+ years of wigs and styling experience, be comfortable with long festival hours, and able to travel to events. Knowledge of Insomniac brands and live entertainment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in hairstyling or 3+ years of relevant experience in wigs, hairdressing & styling.
• Wash and set wigs and recreate a style from a photo clearly.
• Hands-on knowledge in use of styling tools & pinning.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows.
• Entertainment/film/theatre or live events experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare theatrical wigs & hair styled to an approved design for performers of events.
• Restyle and maintain wigs according to the daily schedule for all shows.
• Work with performers in applying wigs & headdresses during show run, rehearsals, and changes.
• Apply and pin theatrical headdresses & wigs securely for performance.
• Assist team with headdresses, wigs & quick changes in setup and run of show.
• Maintain a safe & sanitary working environment per policies.
