Job summary

Liberty University is seeking an experienced events and broadcast technician to operate and set up audio, video, lighting, and LED systems for a variety of campus events. You will collaborate with the Broadcast staff, train students, and take on additional control-room or field duties to enhance the Liberty event and production experience.

The role requires knowledge of sound reinforcement, stage lighting, live video production, electricity, and computing systems, with the ability to work nights

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• To obtain LU-approved driver certification, applicants must be 21+, hold a valid license with 5+ years driving history, and maintain a clean record.
• 2+ years’ experience in professional/academic production work required.
• Working knowledge of electricity, audio/visual concepts, PowerPoint, and ProPresenter.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment.
• Set up equipment for events including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording devices, and audio mixing consoles.
• Knowledge of sound reinforcement, stage lighting, live video production, electricity, and computing systems.
• Safely transport equipment.
• Communicate with customers and proactively identify unexpressed needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Work under high pressure and in stressful environments.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University professionally.
• Collaborate with LU Broadcast staff and support student development.
