Hearst Television’s WBAL TV in Baltimore seeks a Camera Operator to control broadcast cameras during news and live productions. You’ll work with the news team, manage lighting and audio on set, and prepare footage for air.

This role requires early shifts, weekend work, and the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods. Experience with professional cameras, Windows software, and robotic camera operation is essential, with a collaborative focus on delivering clear, compelling on-air

Qualifications

• Experience operating professional video cameras in live production environments.
• Experience using Windows-based computer software.
• Knowledge of robotic camera operation and audio systems.
• Ability to respond immediately to unexpected on-air issues.
• Knowledge of studio lighting.

Responsabilités

• Operate television cameras in live broadcast and production settings.
• Work closely with directors, producers and talent while remaining focused during live broadcasts.
• Operate the audio console and manage all aspects of sound during newscasts and other projects.
• Operate and maintain studio lighting.
• Use Windows-based computer software to prepare video recordings for air.
• Maintain punctual attendance for shifts that may start as early as 3:30 a.m.
• Work weekends and holidays to support 24/7 broadcast operations.
• Work from a standing position for periods of two to three hours.
