Job summary

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) in Chicago seeks an Audio Technician / A1 to set up and operate audio for live television, streaming, and events. You will manage talent microphones, IFBs, and playback, ensuring broadcast-quality sound across platforms.

You will troubleshoot on-air issues, coordinate with producers and guests, and support remote production workflows using Dante and RTS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in live television, broadcast, streaming, or live events.
• Strong knowledge of live audio mixing and broadcast workflows.
• Experience with professional digital consoles.
• Experience with Dante networking and RTS intercom systems.
• Familiarity with remote production tech and remote guest platforms.
• Calm, organized, and professional under live broadcast pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor audio systems for live broadcasts and events.
• Mix live sources including talent mics, guests, IFBs, and playback.
• Maintain consistent broadcast-quality audio levels throughout productions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to prevent on-air impact.
• Coordinate remotely with guests, producers, and staff.
• Configure Dante networks and RTS communications.
• Assist with studio setup and production preparation as needed.
