Job summary

Wilson Elser in New York is seeking a Litigation Support Analyst II to design, maintain, and troubleshoot databases across Logikcull, Relativity, Ipro for Desktop, and Reveal.

The role requires a self-starter with deadlines, collaboration with clients and counsel, and the implementation of eDiscovery protocols and best practices.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in office environments, strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of data and media editing.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to get projects, upgrades, and support services completed in a timely fashion.
  • Past law firm experience a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, maintain and troubleshoot litigation support databases in Logikcull, Relativity, Ipro for Desktop, and Reveal.
  • Attend vendor webinars to learn about upcoming technologies for case team requests.
  • Work with clients, in-house counsel and IT managers to design e-discovery strategies and data collection.
  • Draft internal policies for litigation support and create indexes for social media collections.
  • Perform hardware and software installations and assist case teams with video player software for surveillance videos.
  • Assist in developing and implementing eDiscovery protocols and best practices.
  • Explain e-discovery protocols and metadata analysis to firm members and external parties.
  • Lead and train new colleagues and prepare data links (iManageShare, Box, Dropbox) as needed.

The Position

The Litigation Support Analyst II position requires a committed self-starter who is able to perform under critical deadlines, be collaborative, and forward-thinking. Must be highly motivated and willing to learn new concepts and work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, create, maintain and troubleshoot litigation support databases in various litigation support software; such as Logikcull, Relativity, Ipro for Desktop, and Reveal.
  • Attend vendor webinars at the direction of the Litigation Support Dept. Supervisor’s request to learn about upcoming technologies in order to be informed of same for incoming case team requests.
  • Work with clients, in-house counsel and other IT managers, to design e-discovery strategies and collect data.
  • Design and implement new internal policies and procedures for litigation support, including drafting indexes for social media collections, deposition video editing, etc.
  • Perform hardware and software installations as needed, assist case teams with operation of proprietary video player software included with surveillance videos.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of eDiscovery protocols and best practices.
  • Experienced or certified in various e-discovery protocols and the ability to explain these to members of the firm, such as: analysis of metadata, client collection of their own data vs. a third party vendor collection, and formatting options for outgoing productions to opposing counsel and other parties.
  • Leadership, training, and support for new co‑workers and other members of the firm; including above-mentioned skills and preparation of iManageShare, Box, or Dropbox links for transmittal of data into/out of the firm’s database, as requested by case teams.

Wilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally.

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full‑time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Salary Range:

$70,000—$85,000 USD
