Job summary

CACI is seeking an entry-level Litigation Support Analyst I to assist the Department of Justice in Fraud Section investigations and trials. You will help with case organization, witness preparation, discovery, and in-courtroom support while gaining hands-on eDiscovery experience.

  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment.
  • A knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
  • Deliver consistent high-quality work product in a deadline driven environment under extreme pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Justice system.
  • Persistent, diligent attitude towards work assignments.
  • DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

  • Organize and prioritize numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Log and organize incoming and outgoing discovery productions.
  • Proofread material for contextual, grammatical, and formatting accuracy.
  • Review documents for relevance according to guidelines.

Job description

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an entry level position supporting the Department of Justice on critical matters? This is an opportunity for an individual to enhance document management skills to provide case management and database maintenance assistance in a litigation support capacity. You will also gain invaluable experience using automated litigation support and eDiscovery tools and resources to add to your skillset.

The Litigation Support Analyst I role works closely with the Department of Justice - Fraud Section Special Matters Unit attorneys in a fast-paced setting and assist in the investigation and prosecution of various matters to enforce the laws of the United States, up to and including support assistance for witness interviews, deposition preparation, and in-courtroom trial support. You will learn in a hands-on, immersive environment, which demands a commitment to both individual tasks and the overall mission of the Section.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-courtroom assistance, exhibit collection and review, and legal research as needed based on trial demands.

  • Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel and others as needed.

  • Organize and prioritize numerous tasks effectively and completes tasks under strict time constraints.

  • Work on multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.

  • Log and organize incoming and outgoing discovery productions.

  • Proofread material as needed for contextual, grammatical and formatting errors.

  • Review documents for relevance according to established guidelines and criteria.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Undergraduate degree or one (1) year of experience on major litigation support projects

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$24.65
