Qualifications

• Four-year degree and/or Paralegal Certificate with at least 5 years mortgage servicing experience.
• Knowledge of legal processes and civil rules of procedure.
• Proficiency with mortgage servicing platforms and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Case Ownership: Independently manage and track a high-volume portfolio of litigated files pertaining to real property law.
• Risk Mitigation: Analyze pleadings and evaluate risk using servicing data.
• Strategy & Counsel Support: Collaborate with counsel to formulate litigation strategies and draft responses.
• Corporate Representation: Serve as corporate representative at mediations, depositions, trials.
• Document Production: Retrieve and provide loan-level documentation to counsel and partners for discovery and defense.
• Executive Reporting: Prepare high-level presentations on escalated cases and risk for upper management.
• Financial Administration: Oversee processing and payment of outside counsel invoices.
• Policy & Procedure development and training: write and formalize procedures and serve as a resource for the team.
• Process Improvement: Develop and formalize department policies to enhance litigation support operations.
• Mentorship & Training: Guide and train other specialists on complex litigation procedures.
