Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition is assisting a nationally recognized Am Law firm in Chicago, IL, in search of a Litigation Staff Attorney to join its established litigation practice.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of litigation experience, strong drafting and research skills, and a track record in complex matters. Federal court experience is preferred but not required, with a base salary between $175,000 and $225,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of litigation experience.
• Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Managing or assisting with complex discovery in large-scale litigation.
• Preparing for and participating in depositions and court appearances.
• Federal court litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive litigation documents.
• Assist with managing complex discovery in large cases.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions and court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with experienced litigation attorneys on sophisticated matters.
• Take on meaningful responsibility throughout various phases of litigation.
