Eventus Legal are seeking a Civil Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive with experience to join a highly regarded Litigation team. This is a permanent position based in Peterlee. Role Responsibilities

The incoming Civil Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive must be a proactive and ambitious litigator and will advise on general civil litigation matters including property disputes, commercial contract claims, partnership/shareholder disputes, consumer claims, contentious probate and boundary disputes. Support will be offered where required by the Head of Department.

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from Civil Litigation Solicitors or Legal Executives, ideally with previous General Civil Litigation experience and understanding of Civil procedure Rules is essential. Knowledge of Employment Law issues would be advantageous but not essential. This North East law firm is looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive with excellent client care skills and an ability to run own caseload from start to finish. The incoming qualified legal professional will be pro-active, self-motivated, flexible and demonstrate an excellent attention to detail. Further requirements are as follows:

• Good verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
• Willing to seek out new instructions to expand and further develop the existing department.
• A polite, cheerful attitude, particularly when meeting clients.
• A committed and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a friendly team.
• Good knowledge and use of IT systems.
