Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking strongly preferred.
• 40-hour training program completion within 12 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist self-represented litigants with protective order paperwork at the RJDC.
• Answer patrons’ questions and distribute helper documents about court processes.
• Coordinate with Domestic Relations staff about interdivisional EOP hearings.
• Facilitate Zoom hearings and access to Illinois Legal Aid Online for self-represented litigants.
• Provide information about community resources and link patrons to RJDC services.
• Escort litigants and paperwork to assigned hearing rooms.
