Job summary

LeoForce in New Jersey seeks a mid-level litigation paralegal to support attorneys through all stages of litigation, from pleadings to post-trial. You will conduct extensive legal research, draft documents, and manage electronic filing.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of civil litigation experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field (paralegal certification preferred), and strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; paralegal certification preferred.
  • Experience in legal research, drafting documents, filing, and trial preparation.
  • Proficient with legal databases and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation from onset through post-trial.
  • Conduct extensive legal research to gather relevant information for cases.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents and respond to discovery requests.
  • File pleadings and other court documents electronically and confirm their accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence and materials for court.
  • Coordinate and manage calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Act as a liaison between the trial team and clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
