Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a litigation paralegal to work closely with a lead attorney and a legal assistant in its New York office.

This role will prepare pleadings, coordinate discovery, and help manage case files as part of a busy personal injury practice. Successful candidates will have an Associate’s Degree or paralegal certificate, 2+ years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or paralegal certificate (or equivalent) required.
• 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services.
• Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation or related fields preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, and legal memoranda.
• E-file court documents in state and federal courts.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents and responses.
• Draft summons, coordinate depositions.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits and case files.
• Assist attorneys with witness prep and settlements.
