Job summary

Akerman LLP in Delaware is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 2–3 years of litigation experience to support attorneys in a fast-paced environment. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days per week.

You will organize pleadings, manage calendars, assist with discovery, depositions, and trial prep, and coordinate with clients and courts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or higher; equivalent experience considered.
• Prior law firm litigation experience required.
• Experience supporting matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology tools.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
• Experience supporting bankruptcy matters or filings is a plus.
• Notary experience or willingness to become a notary.
