Job description

Trustpoint has partnered with a highly respected law firm in its search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles or Santa Monica. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a firm that values professionalism, growth, and flexibility.

Salary: Starting at $85,000, depending on experience

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be comfortable prioritizing multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines, and working flexible hours, including overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation
  • Prepare, file, and manage legal documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Maintain and organize case files, track deadlines, and manage calendars
  • Handle document management, including review, proofreading, Bates labeling, and compiling materials for discovery, pleadings, and motions
  • Conduct factual research and investigations
  • Lead subpoena processes and manage third-party records retrieval
  • Draft legal correspondence and memoranda as requested
  • Support e-discovery efforts, including collection, review, and production of electronically stored information
  • Prepare for trial, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and assisting during trial
  • Accurately enter billable time in systems such as InTapp
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of paralegal experience
  • Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required
  • Commercial litigation experience AND trial experience are required
  • Strong proficiency with tools such as Relativity, LiveNote, Case/TimeMap, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with attorneys, staff, and clients
