A respected, Texas-based law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Houston office. This position supports a busy commercial litigation practice handling large, sophisticated matters across a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing significant document productions, and takes ownership of responsibilities throughout all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on high-profile matters in a collaborative environment while serving as an integral member of the litigation team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
- Prepare and manage written discovery, including drafting responses, coordinating document collection, and organizing productions.
- Utilize eDiscovery platforms to review, organize, analyze, and produce documents in large-scale litigation matters.
- Maintain case files and monitor deadlines, court schedules, and docket activity across an active commercial litigation caseload.
- Coordinate with testifying and consulting experts, including scheduling, document exchange, and management of expert-related materials.
- Prepare exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and other documents necessary for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial.
- Attend and assist at trial proceedings as needed.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, and court personnel.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience required; commercial litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; a combination of relevant education and significant litigation experience will be considered.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal court filing rules and procedures.
- Hands‑on experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, or similar litigation support technologies.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with document management systems; familiarity with iManage or similar platforms is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a demanding, deadline‑driven environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 – $100,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
