Job summary

W3Global is seeking a litigation paralegal in Costa Mesa, CA to support attorneys in commercial and employment cases. This role handles drafting, research, and filing with courts.

You will organize case files, coordinate depositions, and manage discovery, deadlines, and correspondence. Strong communication and meticulous work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in commercial or employment cases.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal civil procedure.
  • Proficient in legal research and discovery procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized.

  • Prepare court documents and e-file with state and federal courts.
  • Provide trial support with exhibits and materials.
  • Handle calendar management and contact lists.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys through all stages of commercial and employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategy and preparation
  • Manage and organize case files, documents, exhibits, and litigation deadlines
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Prepare and file court documents, including state and federal e-filing
  • Assist with all aspects of discovery and document production, including reviewing, organizing, and analyzing documents
  • Communicate professionally and timely with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling, and maintaining contact lists
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with substantial experience in commercial or employment litigation
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal litigation procedures and rules of civil procedure
  • Experience with discovery, document production, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Proficient in legal research and legal research databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology, including document management and e-filing systems
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Professional, proactive, and client-service oriented
