Job summary

Melone Hatley, P.C. seeks a Litigation Attorney to join our Virginia team. The ideal candidate will handle court proceedings, draft pleadings, and develop litigation strategies for family law matters while maintaining client communication and ethical standards.

You will manage caseloads, conduct thorough legal research, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients in a fast-growing firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Virginia state bar.
• 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably family law.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of state court procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
