Job summary

Gottlieb & Greenspan, a growing healthcare-reimbursement litigation law firm, seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney with the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution. You will draft pleadings, handle motion practice, settlements, and appearances in state and federal courts, primarily in NJ and NY.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, 3+ years of civil litigation experience, and current NJ/NY bar admission.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey or New York (both preferred).
• Federal court admission (USD/NJ or EDNY/SDNY) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception through resolution.

• Draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Develop litigation strategy in reimbursement and coverage disputes.
• Engage in settlements negotiations.

We are seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This position offers a dynamic, collaborative work environment with meaningful responsibility, direct case ownership, and strong opportunities for professional growth.

The Litigation Attorney will independently manage an active caseload and handle matters from inception through resolution. The role includes drafting pleadings, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and court appearances in state and federal court.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception through resolution
• Draft and file complaints and responsive pleadings
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Develop litigation strategy in reimbursement and coverage disputes
• Engage in settlements negotiations
• Appear in NJ and/or NY state and federal courts
• Collaborate on complex healthcare litigation matters involving regulatory and reimbursement frameworks

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey or New York (both preferred)
• Federal court admission (either USDNJ or EDNY/SDNY)
• Experience in healthcare litigation, insurance coverage, or reimbursement disputes preferred but not required
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases independently

Salary Range

$140,000-170,000 / year, commensurate with experience
