Job summary

Illapa Search represents a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Litigation Associate for its Columbus, Ohio office. You will handle sophisticated commercial disputes and high-stakes litigation for businesses, institutions and individuals.

You will contribute to case strategy, research, discovery, motions, pleadings, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation, with mentorship from experienced litigators and close client collaboration.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Admission to the Ohio Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• Experience in commercial litigation or related practice area.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on sophisticated commercial disputes and high-stakes litigation.
• Take on responsibilities across all stages of litigation: case strategy, research, discovery, motions, pleadings, and trial prep.
• Draft pleadings and briefs, participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with experienced litigators and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
