Synectics Inc. seeks a Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its General Liability Practice Group in Illinois.

The attorney will defend a broad range of general liability claims, including transportation, construction, product liability, and commercial liability, in federal and state courts. The role requires demonstrating strong research, writing, and courtroom skills, with responsibilities spanning from discovery to trial and appeal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant litigation experience with general liability defense preferred.
• Admission to practice law in Illinois is required.
• Experience defending transportation, construction, product liability, or commercial liability claims.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience drafting and arguing discovery-related motions and taking depositions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Experience drafting and arguing summary judgment motions.Strong courtroom and litigation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
• Preferably the candidates have tort or insurance defense experience.
