Wanta Thome, a plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, is seeking an experienced litigator to own a caseload, not to assist or grow into one. You have real litigation skill: taking depositions, arguing motions, and making strategic calls.
This role offers base salary $120,000–$160,000 plus incentive compensation with a target of $250,000+ and benefits. Minneapolis or Chicago offices with hybrid or fully remote options; you will work on discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases.
Wanta Thome is a plaintiff-side employment litigation firm built like a modern company. We represent workers who have been hit by discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, we work on contingency, and we measure ourselves by one thing: how much money we recover for our clients.
Most firms hand their litigators the same tools everyone else has and call it a practice. We employ have an in-house developer team who builds custom drafting and case tools for our attorneys, we run the firm on data-backed goals so priorities are never a mystery, and we staff every attorney with teammates who take the routine work off your plate. The result is that our attorneys spend their time on strategy, depositions, negotiations, and trials, not on administrative work.
We are hiring an experienced litigator to own a caseload (not to assist or grow into one).
You do not need an employment law background. We have resources for teaching the substantive law to lawyers who already know how to litigate. What we cannot teach, and what we are hiring for, is real litigation skill: the judgment that comes from taking depositions, arguing motions, and owning your own strategic calls.
This is not an entry-level position. We are not able to consider new graduates or attorneys who have not yet built core litigation experience.
Because our systems close cases faster, our attorneys handle strong caseloads, and the incentive structure means efficiency shows up in your pay, not just the firm's.
Our values are simple: Teamwork, Impactful Agility, Relentless Excellence, Results-Driven, and Radical Candor. In practice that means no egos, honest feedback in both directions, and a shared commitment to fast outcomes for clients.
If you want to keep drafting other people's discovery responses for another five years, we are not your firm. But if you are a litigator who wants to own cases, be measured on results, and practice with tools and support most attorneys never get, we want to talk.
