The Litigation Associate will handle a high-volume caseload, draft pleadings, and argue motions while engaging with sophisticated financial institution clients to achieve practical, results-oriented solutions.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of litigation experience, strong legal writing, and excellent oral advocacy.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and admitted to New York State Bar.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience required.
• Experience in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, banking, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or collections preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume litigation caseload for banks, credit unions, and financial institution clients.
• Represent clients in commercial litigation including loan enforcement, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Attend court appearances, motion arguments, and conferences.
• Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements or workout agreements.
• Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation.
• Maintain prompt communication with clients and provide practical legal advice.
