Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to, or eligibility for admission to, the South Dakota Bar.
• Strong academic credentials; top 33% of class preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation and dispute resolution.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Meet and communicate directly with clients to understand their legal needs and develop effective strategies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis and preparing written work product.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assisting with all stages of litigation, including case development, discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Representing clients in negotiations and other proceedings as appropriate.
• Managing assigned matters and deadlines with appropriate guidance and supervision.
• Preparing and completing court filings and other legal documents.
• Collaborating with attorneys and professional staff across practice areas to develop practical and effective solutions for clients.
• Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, attorneys, courts, and other professionals.
