Job summary

DBL Law seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Louisville, KY. This role focuses on defense of employment-related and commercial litigation, performing at the associate level with responsibilities across briefs, discovery, motions, and trial support.

The candidate will work from our Louisville office and collaborate with partners to develop strategy. The position requires 3–5+ years civil litigation experience, strong drafting and research skills, and Kentucky bar admission.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.

DBL Law is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney.This position will perform associate level general litigation work and will work on cases which include defending employment-related claims as well as commercial disputes. The position is based in our Louisville, Kentucky office.

JOB DUTIES

• Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings
• Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses
• Prepare and argue motions
• Perform legal research and writing.
• Participate in depositions
• Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings
• Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-pacedenvironment
• Independently manage cases
• Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, meditations, and depositions.
• Respond to administrative charges
• Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy
• Other duties as assigned

• 3-5or more years of experience practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts
