The Dallas office of Akerman LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with 5 to 7 years of experience handling complex insurance coverage matters on behalf of insurance carriers. The ideal candidate will have experience advising and representing insurers in coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and other insurance-related matters, as well as managing all phases of litigation in state and federal courts. Candidates should possess strong experience drafting and arguing motions, preparing court filings, taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, handling court appearances, and supporting trial preparation. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and case management skills are required. Prior federal and state court experience and/or judicial clerkship experience is preferred. Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas. This position offers hybrid and remote work opportunities.
